Data Engineer/Architect - Fully Remote Contract-to-Hire (United States)

You get to work fully remote, on a contract that converts to permanent, building data infrastructure that genuinely matters. This is a fast-growing company delivering fire and life safety solutions, and the data platform you build directly supports work that protects lives. That context changes how the work feels. You own the data engineering function. You design, build and maintain pipelines, work across Microsoft Fabric and Azure, and connect into SAP backends to pull through the data the business needs. You write clean Python, you make smart architectural decisions, and you do it without someone looking over your shoulder all day. The remote setup is real. No hybrid compromise, no expected office days. You work from where you work best, you manage your own time, and you deliver results. That independence is built into how the company operates, not just something they tolerate. The contract-to-hire structure gives you the chance to see the company properly before committing. You come in, get to know the team, understand the roadmap, and then make a genuine decision about your future there. It works both ways. The company is growing quickly and the data function is growing with it. You are not joining a static environment. There is real scope here to shape how things are built from an early stage, which matters if you want your fingerprints on something meaningful. You bring strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure and SAP integration, and you are confident writing Python across data engineering contexts. You have done this before at a senior level and you are ready to do it independently. Ready to build something that actually matters? Get in touch. This is a fully remote role, but you must live in the United States. They'll need someone who's fully authorized to work in the US without any sponsorship / visa ( cannot support H-1B visa ).
