Position Highlights $15,000 Sign On Bonus eligible (first day of month after start) Full Time Day Shift 7:30‑16:00, Monday‑Friday Call rotation every 9 weeks for evenings and weekends and one holiday per year Benefit eligible on first day of month after start 401k with match Job Overview The Endoscopy Department at BJHWC consists of pre‑op, procedure and recovery areas. As an Endoscopy RN you will assist in preparing patients for procedures, help in the procedure room alongside the proceduralist, assist and/or circulate in the room for documentation and specimen collection during colonoscopies and upper endoscopies, validate and assist in cleaning the endoscope, and work in the scope room. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Promote patient and family centered care in a healing environment. Educate patients and families on how to manage illness or injury, including post‑treatment home care needs and medication administration. Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance. Participate in professional development. Develop, implement, and document individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with interprofessional team and patient/family or caregiver. Proactively plan and ensure communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care. Use critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care. Assess patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population‑specific needs. Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner as a safety‑sensitive position.
