NetBox Architect / NetBox Engineer (Senior)

Location: Remote



Level: Senior

Pay $ 75 to 80/hr

Single contractor to assist with planning, design, development, and implementation of a NetBox-to-Oracle synchronization and data migration effort.

The ideal contractor should have experience with:

• NetBox architecture, data modeling, APIs, and operational best practices.
• Oracle database integration and data extraction.
• ETL/data migration design and implementation.
• Network inventory data models, including devices, interfaces, IPs, VLANs, prefixes, circuits, tenants, and related objects.
• Bi-directional synchronization patterns and conflict handling.
• Python or other integration development languages commonly used with NetBox.
• Data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation.
• Documentation of schema mappings, architecture decisions, and operational procedures.
• Working with network engineering teams and translating operational requirements into technical implementation.
• Working independently and collaboratively within a team that has other concurrent project responsibilities.

Potential responsibilities may include:

• Reviewing existing NetBox and Oracle data structures.
• Recommending a sync architecture.
• Supporting schema mapping and data translation.
• Building or advising on integration logic.
• Evaluating whether NetBox native data source functionality can meet requirements.
• Supporting development environment setup.
• Assisting with data migration planning and execution.
• Supporting test planning, validation, and production deployment.
• Providing documentation and knowledge transfer to internal staff.
