Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to provide specialized care for obstetric patients during 12-hour day shifts. The candidate will support new mothers and their newborns before, during, and after delivery, ensuring safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Assess obstetric patients to determine their condition and develop appropriate care plans.
• Administer medications, including ACLS, BLS, NRP, and other required certifications.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and uterine activity during labor using specialized equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure compliance with certification standards.
• Educate patients and their families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Complete onboarding modules and ensure all core documentation is finalized within 48 hours of contract signing.

Qualifications:

• Valid state or compact RN license with labor and delivery experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery.
• Certifications in ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate/FHM required.
• Willingness to travel at least 100 miles from residence; local candidates are not eligible.
• Ability to complete required onboarding modules onsite during orientation.
