Together, we're improving health and improving lives.Labcorp is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our team at Raritan, NJ.Work Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday 7:30am to 4pmJob ResponsibilitiesReceive and sort clinical lab specimensPrepare specimens for testing and analysisScan and/or data entry of specimen and patient informationEnsure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenanceTroubleshoot any specimen related issuesReplenish test bench supplies as neededMaintain a clean and safe work environmentComplete record logs and other administrative duties as requestedFollow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standardsMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentPreferred Qualifications3 months or more of specimen processing experience3 months or more of medical or laboratory experienceAdditional Job Standards· Comfortability with handling biological specimens· Ability to accurately identify specimens· Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills· Ability to work independently and within a team environment· High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask· Ability to work in a fast paced production environment and meet established turn-around times· Strong communication skills; both written and verbal· Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position· Able to pass a standardized color blindness test· Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needsAt Labcorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
