Staff Software Engineer, Ads

Responsibilities

• Architect and scale high-throughput data processing pipelines and serving infrastructure for real-time ad delivery.
• Engineer a scalable, resilient, and self-service ads data platform for cross-functional production data deployment.
• Translate complex advertising logic and business strategy into highly distributed, efficient system architectures.
• Lead projects involving large-scale data-serving platforms and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, or a closely related field.
• At least 6 years of backend software development experience.
• Experience with AWS and cloud environments, highly available distributed systems, scalable low-latency services, and advertising-serving systems.
• Proficiency in Java and the Spring Framework.
• Experience leading large-scale data-serving platform projects and delivering results across cross-functional teams.
• Preferred experience includes advertising systems, search or display advertising, advertising marketplaces, ad servers, Spark, Hive, Redis, and Kafka.
• Preferred ability to design multi-threaded and multi-process distributed systems and improve or automate distributed tools and services.
