Human Resources Generalist

Our client, a provider of Health, Dental, Vision, Medicaid, and Medicare Healthcare service plans in the state of California with 4.7 million members and $22.9 billion of annual revenues , seeks an accomplished HR Generalist .

IMPORTANT NOTES:

This will be 6 months assignment with possible extension. This will be a Hybrid role at Oakland, CA 94607. Candidate must be a living within commutable distance. Work Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Mon- Fri) (Pacific Time). Work Location: 601 12th Street, 20th Floor, Oakland, CA 94607.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review HRIS transactional requests daily and manage approvals or rejections based on established HR policies and procedures. Process HR transactions accurately while ensuring compliance with company guidelines. Escalate complex transactional issues and policy questions to leadership when appropriate. Manage incoming HR cases, phone calls, and chats requiring broad HR Generalist knowledge. Respond to employee inquiries related: Compensation Wellness programs Leave of Absence Payroll Performance Management HR policies and procedures Partner with cross-functional HR teams including: Payroll Compensation Talent Acquisition Employee Relations HR Technology Retirement Talent Mobility Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for process improvement. Support leadership by communicating escalations and emerging HR concerns.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent discipline, or five (5) years of HR experience in lieu of education. Experience supporting HR operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Customer-service mindset with strong problem-solving abilities. Comfortable handling sensitive and confidential employee information. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong analytical thinking and sound judgment. Collaborative team player capable of building effective cross-functional relationships. Ability to quickly learn new HR systems and processes. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Oracle HCM. Experience with UKG (UltIPRO). Experience with ServiceNow. SHRM-CP or other HR certification. Strong HR knowledge across multiple functional areas.
