Must complete a pre-employment physical and drug test. Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day. Ability to frequently bend, lift and twist. Must be able and available to work overtime as required.Job Summary: Essential duties & responsibilities include the following:Conducts product sampling as well as chemical, microbiological & physical testing.Essential Functions:Basic comprehension of speaking, reading & writing in EnglishCan write neatly and clearly on all paper-work.Show basic understanding of how to use and operate a computer (and take care of).Show comprehension and knowledge retention of all Brakebush Irving, Inc. training programs (specifically quality and food safety).Can be responsible for having, maintaining and cleaning assigned toolsCan complete all required paperwork and database entries accurately and in a timely manner.Can communicate to direct report when there are deviations from the process or specification.Show basic understanding of mathematics (addition, subtraction, percentages, multiplication and/or division).Have a basic understanding of quality control (acceptable vs. unacceptable).Can place product on Hold and complete the Hold Tag process in an accurate and timely manner.Communicating with management when there are concerns with the following: Production Safety Employee RelationsPerforms other related duties as assigned to support production demands as may be specified by customer or client.Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.Education : High school diploma or equivalent.Experience : Entry-level . Other Requirements : No other requirements .Working Conditions: High noise, varied temperatures (warm to cold), slippery floors, moving equipment and dust may be present.
