Minimum Qualifications Associate's Degree; Graduate of a Respiratory Care program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) or other accrediting body approved by the advisory board. Bachelor's Degree preferred; Graduate of a Respiratory Care program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) or other accrediting body approved by the advisory board. Licenses & Certifications Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care. Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred Neonatal Resuscitation Program from American Association of Pediatrics (AAP) is mandatory for working in neonatal ICU (NRP may be obtained within 90 days of employment) Respiratory Care Practitioner from the Texas Medical Board Work Experience Five (5) year experience in a Respiratory Care Department as a practicing therapist.
