Maintenance TechnicianGeneral Shale, Inc., the nation's leading manufacturer of brick and masonry products, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support operations at our Augusta, Georgia manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for a mechanically skilled professional looking to contribute to a highly automated industrial environment.The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. This role includes performing preventive and corrective maintenance while supporting continuous production operations.Key responsibilities include:Perform preventive maintenance on motors, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and production machineryTroubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment issuesRead and follow diagrams, sketches, manuals, and engineering specificationsFabricate and install repair parts and equipment using shop and welding toolsMaintain equipment and parts inventory to support plant operationsCommunicate maintenance activities and equipment concerns with operations teamsOperate forklifts, hoists, and aerial lifts safelyMaintain a safe and clean working environment by following company safety proceduresSkills and experience required:General fabrication and welding experienceWorking knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumaticsEquipment troubleshooting and repair experienceGeneral building and facility maintenance knowledgeAbility to operate forklifts, hoists, and aerial liftsQualifications:High school diploma or GED required3–5 years of maintenance experience in an automated manufacturing environment preferredStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently in a fast-paced industrial settingPhysical requirements:Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periodsMust be able to lift up to 75 poundsWhat we offer:Competitive payComprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, and Vision insuranceDisability and Life Insurance401(k) plan with company matchPaid vacation and holidaysTraining and development opportunitiesEqual Opportunity Employer.
