MAINTENANCE MECHANIC - DAYS DATE POSTED: August 4th, 2026 DATE WILL CLOSE: August 11th, 2026 DEPT: MAINTENANCE SHIFT: Nights Sunday- Thursday 8:30pm-5am LOCATION: COLD SPRING PLANT PAY: $27.95 - $30.95 an hour At Pilgrim’s, Safety Is A Condition, which means the safety of our team members comes first - always. POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for assisting the maintenance department with plant maintenance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with the necessary repairs of equipment, property and the building. Maintains accurate communication to other mechanics and departments. Supports station mechanic and operator basic functions of machinery and equipment. Effectively uses electrical testing equipment. Responsible to identify opportunities for improvement and to communicate those to supervisor or lead person. Initiates and conducts routine preventative maintenance (PM’s) on equipment by self or with minimal supervision. Maintain shop 6s policies and cleanliness Other duties as required. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS and BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated ability to perform basic math skills including: addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and percentage calculations Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English Ability to pass a Prove It test Two years’ experience in maintenance field preferred Have the ability to work with minimal direct supervision Excellent mechanical aptitude and abilities in order to analyze, evaluate, and solve mechanical problems Excellent communication skills Experience in the operation of maintenance power tools Knowledge of electric and mechanical procedures Flexibility to work weekends as needed To perform this job successfully, applicant must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
