Join our team as a Guest Relations Representative at our Administrative Office located in Winton Woods! At Great Parks, our team members work together to preserve and protect natural resources and to provide outdoor recreation and education in order to enhance the quality of life for present and future generations.

The ideal candidate is seeking a long-term part time position and is available to work 8 hours shift 2-3 days per week as well as 4-5 hours shifts on weekends and evening seasonally.

This position will be speaking to our guests primarily over the phone to reserve picnic shelters, lodges, auditoriums and banquet rooms. They will also assist with other on-line reservation types such a golf tee times and camping reservations as well as operating a point-of-sale system. The job requires basic clerical skills with an emphasis on a computerized reservation system and use of call center software. Standard practice allows employee to proceed alone on regular duties with questionable situations referred to supervisor or others. Work results are normally checked through administrative processes.

R ESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greets and serves guests entering work location.
• Handles requests made by customers including a variety of reservation types, providing general park information, fulfilling motor vehicle permit orders, responding to email and phone inquiries.
• Operates Point of Sale system, receives money, issues change and receipts, balance money collected with receipts on a scheduled basis; prepares and makes deposits.
• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of Guest Relations office area, sweeps floors, dusts furniture, empties wastebaskets, etc.
• Opens shift by counting register, checking supplies, and ensuring office is prepared for business.
• Sets alarm, follows cash procedures, and performs other established procedures to close.
• Performs job duties in accordance with Great Parks’ policies, procedures, and performance expectations.
• Maintains confidentiality of confidential and sensitive information.
• Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and punctual attendance, and works outside of normal schedule as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Demonstrable skill in maintaining good public relations
• Prior experience in customer service.
• Ability to document identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of original appointment as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act requirements.

LICENSE OF CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

State Motor Vehicle Operator’s License that meets GPHC current carrier guidelines
