Surgical Technologist – Operating Room (OR)

Shift: Day Shift Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week Hours: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM Working Days: Monday, Thursday, and Friday Total Hours: 36 hours per week Interview Type: Virtual/Phone Specialty: Operating Room (OR)

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room, surgical instruments, and equipment before procedures.

• Maintain a sterile field and follow infection prevention protocols.

• Assist surgeons and the surgical team during procedures.

• Anticipate surgical needs and provide instruments, supplies, and equipment.

• Perform surgical counts with the circulating nurse to ensure patient safety.

• Handle specimens appropriately and maintain accurate documentation.

• Follow established surgical protocols and maintain a safe operating environment.

Required Certifications

• BLS: American Heart Association (AHA) only

• CST: NBSTSA or NCCT certification

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 3 years of Surgical Technologist experience.

• Experience in the following specialties:

  • Neurology / Neurosurgery

  • Urology

  • Orthopedics

  • General Surgery

  • Robotic Surgery, specifically da Vinci Xi
