Finance Manager

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Finance Manager to join our finance team in Clinton, NJ. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role offers exceptional visibility across the organization and the opportunity to help build a scalable finance function that supports continued growth. Position Summary The Finance Manager will play a key leadership role in strengthening accounting operations, financial reporting, and financial controls across a growing multi-entity organization. This position combines traditional accounting responsibilities with strategic finance initiatives, including acquisition integrations, automation, financial planning support, and executive reporting. Working closely with the CFO, you will help improve the efficiency and accuracy of the monthly close process, implement technology-driven process improvements, support Board and investor reporting, and contribute to building a modern, data-driven finance organization. Key Responsibilities Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, consolidated financial schedules, and supporting documentation. Lead finance and accounting activities related to acquisition integrations, including: Chart of accounts alignment Internal controls implementation Improve accounting processes through automation, workflow optimization, and enhanced internal controls. Prepare financial analyses and schedules supporting Board presentations, lender reporting, investor communications, and executive decision-making. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow forecasting, and FP&A initiatives. Support annual audits, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting. Identify accounting risks and recommend practical solutions that improve efficiency and strengthen financial controls. Evaluate and implement AI-enabled and automation technologies to enhance accounting operations, reconciliations, reporting, documentation, and financial analysis. Develop dashboards and key performance indicators that provide real-time financial insights. Collaborate cross-functionally to support strategic finance initiatives and business growth. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. 5–7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience. Public accounting experience preferred. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting. Experience with cloud-based ERP systems; Sage Intacct experience is highly preferred. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience improving accounting processes and implementing automation solutions. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work on-site in Clinton, New Jersey. Preferred CPA license or active progress toward CPA certification.
