Logistics Specialist - Heritage Logistics

Logistics Specialist – Heritage Logistics Responsible for receiving customer orders for aggregate and other products, assisting with product selection, and scheduling trucking for delivery using the Trux Dispatch Platform. The role coordinates with the Sales Service Center to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment, minimizes truck downtime, and resolves delivery issues promptly. Responsibilities Receive customer orders and assist customers in identifying product needs. Accurately enter orders into the Trux Dispatch Platform. Work with the Sales Service Center to obtain project information and pricing. Coordinate project scheduling to match demand with truck capacity. Review daily order entry for completeness and accuracy to ensure facility can meet customer needs on time, and make adjustments as necessary. Minimize truck downtime issues. Report delivery problems to service and sales representatives for quick resolution. Other Duties Other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred. Experience in dispatching, customer relations, construction/transportation, and administration or sales. Proficient with common office tools and technology (telephone, calculator, computer). Ability to work varying schedules, including nights and weekends. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and make decisions while providing excellent customer service by phone and in person. Ability to coordinate and prioritize timely product delivery, work at a fast pace, and manage multiple tasks under pressure. Solid knowledge of asphalt, concrete, and construction materials, truck requirements, and applicable transportation regulations. Computer skills for record keeping, reporting, scheduling, and organizing trucking equipment quickly; ability to read maps.
