Qualifications:

• Valid VA Teaching License required
• Adaptive certification is strongly preferred
• Experience in special education settings
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and individualized instruction to K-2 students in the Adaptive Skills Program
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with IEP goals and the VESOL curriculum
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Monitor and document student progress, adapting strategies to meet diverse learning needs
• Communicate regularly with families to support student growth and transition
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to student planning
