Bell & Associates has been engaged to help our client recruit their next Sr. Accountant. The Senior Accountant will assist with month end close processes, general ledger reconciliations and analyzing monthly, quarterly or yearly balance fluctuations. The successful candidate will need to be effective and experienced in the general accounting functions. This position will support various aspects of the financial cycle including, but not limited to, assisting in various audits, and monitoring metrics of the business to aid in daily operational decisions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare amortization schedules and propose the associated general journal entries that could include:
• Marketing contracts
• Pro Staff contracts
• Technology contracts
• Validate and reconcile customer contractual and non-contractual allowances.
• Provide support in completing the annual audit.
• Provide reports to our third-party resource on sales and use tax and state registration matters/questions. Review and approve all filings submitted by the third party.
• Maintain fixed assets for the global organization. Create approved capital expenditures within our ERP system and ensure all documentation has been received and is being maintained.
• Reconcile and prepare commission and royalty calculations. Provide quarterly schedules by brand for both calculations.
• Prepare the Amex and Concur reconciliations. Prepare a journal entry for posting monthly T&E expense.
• Support the FP&A team and the organization in understanding the fluctuations in balances under the department purview.
• Complete additional duties and/or special projects as assigned in response to changing business conditions and/or requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with a concentration in accounting
• 5+ years of general ledger accounting experience
• Must have a strong understanding of accounting principles.
• Have an understanding of US GAAP
• Must have a positive attitude with a desire to grow by supporting the company and team in projects that may arise through company initiatives or through acquisition.
• Ability to problem solve and present go forward solutions.
• Ability to multi-task while working independently and collaboratively with a team.
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
