Duties Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT Inspections, and follow‑up repairs on light, medium, and heavy‑duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment. Perform minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment including electrical, brake, cooling, starters, alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering systems, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials. Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment such as electric, brake, cooling, AC, fan clutches, engine electronics, diesel steering systems, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials. Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test instruments such as handheld computers and pressure gauges. Road‑test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper operation. Identify problems and evaluate alternatives using sound judgment. Independently manage parts inventory and reconcile as requested. Maintain and operate company‑issued service vehicle, conduct safety checks, and perform pre‑/post‑trip inspections. Work with clients and customers to assess needs, provide assistance, and resolve issues. Manage concurrent tasks, prioritizing work and allocating time effectively. Use hand tools, precision instruments, diesel tools, welding equipment, lifts, and jacks. Document work according to company standards, uploading pictures, parts used, and findings on Repair Orders (RO) via the TRAIT application. Accurately complete DOT forms and other documentation promptly. Work independently and manage daily schedule. Maintain high productivity to meet or approach standard repair times. Obtain parts from approved vendors as needed. Communicate with management and support via email or phone to obtain repair estimates and discuss RO findings. Perform all work in compliance with safety, health, environmental policies, and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT). Maintain company‑issued service truck and conduct safety checks and daily pre/post trip inspections. Requirements High School Diploma/GED and at least 3 years’ experience in a related field (alternative combinations of education and experience are acceptable). At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment. Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties. OEM training and certifications are preferred. Complete all company‑required training. Pass a DOT‑regulated pre‑employment background screening and DOT physical (or possess a valid DOT medical card with over 4 months remaining). Must be at least 21 years old due to interstate operating regulations. Valid driver’s license and driver qualification file required. Required Certifications or Obtained Within 18 Months
