About the Role

We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and safety-conscious Drilling Assistant to join our field operations team. In this role, you will work closely with drill operators to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate drilling operations across various project sites. This is a hands-on, physically demanding position that requires a strong commitment to workplace safety and a willingness to travel as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Field Operations: Assist drill operators with setting up, running, and tearing down drill rigs and associated equipment.
• Material & Equipment Handling: Safely load, secure, and unload heavy equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Job Prep & Logistics: Prepare site equipment and stage supplies for upcoming jobs; coordinate and handle the ordering of necessary site supplies.
• Sample Handling: Perform sample collection and handling procedures accurately following standard operating protocols.
• Logging: Produce clear, accurate, and legible field logs for daily operations and sample records.
• Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all company safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and regulatory requirements on every job site.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Physical Stamina: Capable of heavy lifting (frequently lifting and moving 50+ lbs.) and performing strenuous physical labor in various outdoor weather conditions.
• Driver’s License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Compliance: Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and a comprehensive background check.
• Travel Flexibility: Must be fully available and willing to travel out of town for extended periods as project workloads require.
• Experience: Previous experience in drilling, construction, or heavy field labor is preferred, but an exceptional work ethic and safety-first mindset are valued above all.
