Job Opportunity: Full-Time Noninvasive Cardiologist

Our organization is seeking a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible Noninvasive Cardiologist for a faculty position that includes a dual appointment with a prominent university. This role will primarily be based at our Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center in Gainesville, FL.

About Our Facility

We are a 240-bed tertiary referral center specializing in cardiovascular diseases within the VA system. Our facility provides a comprehensive range of cardiovascular services, including:

• On-site Cardiothoracic (CT) surgery
• Complex interventional and structural procedures
• Electrophysiology (EP) devices and ablations
• Advanced imaging techniques such as 3D Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE), Positron Emission Tomography (PET) for perfusion, Cardiac Computed Tomography, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

Key Responsibilities

As a member of our Cardiology service, your duties will include:

• Interpreting Electrocardiograms (ECG), exercise and pharmacologic stress tests, transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms, and ambulatory cardiac monitors
• Supervising and teaching general cardiology fellows, advanced practice providers, and medical residents
• Managing patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Participating in advanced cardiac imaging interpretations and engaging in clinical trials and research activities based on your interests

You will collaborate with a dedicated team of 3 interventionalists, 3 electrophysiologists, 6 noninvasive cardiologists, and 1 heart failure specialist, along with 10 Advanced Practice Professionals. Night and weekend call responsibilities will be shared among all cardiology faculty members.

Preferred Qualifications

We encourage candidates with an interest in working with the VA heart failure disease management group to apply. Involvement in the university practice is negotiable.
