FOH CAFÉ LEAD

Claudine Kitchen & Bakeshop is a busy, chef-driven breakfast, lunch and bakery operation committed to excellent food, consistent quality and genuine hospitality.
Our FOH Café Leads help lead daily front-of-house operations and support the management team in delivering an organized, efficient and welcoming guest experience. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who can lead by example, communicate clearly, solve problems and help keep the team focused during busy service.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Help lead front-of-house operations during assigned shifts
• Support the General Manager and Assistant Manager with daily restaurant operations
• Lead by example and help create a welcoming, engaging experience for every guest
• Coordinate FOH team members to maintain proper coverage and efficient service
• Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily priorities, goals and operational needs
• Coach, train and support FOH team members in meeting Claudine service and hospitality standards
• Ensure team members follow uniform, professionalism, attendance and workplace standards
• Monitor guest service, food and beverage quality, presentation and speed of service
• Proactively interact with guests and help resolve concerns quickly and professionally
• Manage POS transactions, including approved voids and refunds
• Follow and oversee proper cash-handling and cash-drop procedures
• Assist with end-of-day reporting and tracking of sales, labor and tips
• Monitor staffing and communicate with management regarding labor and operational needs
• Assist with FOH inventory counts, stocking and supply levels
• Communicate supply shortages or operational concerns to management
• Help coordinate restaurant service, food production, team productivity and catered events
• Maintain a positive, organized and team-oriented work environment
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Food Handler Certificate, RBS required
• High school diploma required
• Basic computational math skills required
• Computer, data-entry and related software proficiency required
• Previous restaurant FOH leadership experience preferred
• Previous POS experience preferred
• Hospitality education or degree preferred
• Reliable transportation preferred
• Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods, including shifts of up to 9+ hours
• Ability to frequently reach, bend, twist, squat, stoop and perform other physical movements required in restaurant operations
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities

SCHEDULE

Applicants must be available for the shifts required by FOH operations includine weekends and holidays.
COMPENSATION

Hourly rate plus applicable tips.
