Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner

AdventHealth Redmond is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (PA or APRN) to join our growing Pulmonary team. This daytime role offers the opportunity to care for pulmonary patients across the hospital and clinic settings while supporting inpatient consults, outpatient follow-up, interventional pulmonology, and the Pulmonary Lung Nodule Clinic. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach to patient-centered pulmonary care.

Position Overview
This Monday-Friday, 8-hour daytime position offers a consistent schedule and strong work-life balance within a collaborative pulmonary practice. The APP will partner closely with pulmonary and interventional pulmonology physicians, clinic leadership, nursing teams, respiratory therapy, and care coordination staff to support consultation, follow-up, diagnostics, patient education, and lung nodule surveillance.

Responsibilities
• Provide pulmonary care in the hospital and clinic settings under physician supervision.
• Evaluate and manage acute and chronic pulmonary conditions, including COPD, asthma, chronic cough, pneumonia follow-up, pleural disease, pulmonary nodules, interstitial lung disease, and other respiratory concerns within scope of practice.
• Support inpatient pulmonary consultations, outpatient follow-up, care transitions, and continuity across the pulmonary service line.
• Assist the Interventional Pulmonology Service and Pulmonary Lung Nodule Clinic with patient evaluation, diagnostic coordination, surveillance, education, and treatment planning.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, nursing, clinic staff, nurse navigators, and hospital leadership to ensure timely, coordinated patient care.
• Order, review, and interpret appropriate pulmonary diagnostics, including imaging, pulmonary function testing, laboratory testing, sleep-related studies, and related evaluations within credentialed scope.
• Maintain timely documentation, clear communication, and a patient-centered approach to care.

Qualifications
• Current PA or APRN license in the state of Georgia.
• At least 1 year of APP experience in pulmonary, hospital medicine, internal medicine, family medicine, or another relevant specialty setting preferred.
• Experience with pulmonary medicine, sleep medicine, lung nodule programs, interventional pulmonology, inpatient consults, or outpatient specialty care is strongly valued.
• ICU or other high-acuity inpatient experience is helpful but not required.
• Interest in developing expertise in pulmonary workflows, diagnostic review, lung nodule surveillance, patient education, and care coordination.
• Strong communication skills, sound clinical judgment, and a patient-centered approach.

Compensation & Benefits
This position offers a competitive base salary of $135,000 to $145,000, based on training and experience, along with eligibility for an annual performance-based bonus. Bonus metrics may include quality, compliance, teamwork, patient access, documentation, care coordination, and productivity.
