Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 13-week contract position at top-rated hospital systems in California, including the San Francisco and Los Angeles metropolitan areas. This position will provide critical support across multiple departments, ensuring high-quality patient care and a smooth clinical environment. The LPN will be responsible for performing routine nursing tasks, assisting with patient care, and supporting the nursing team with various departmental needs. Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs) and physicians across various departments such as Med-Surg, ICU, Pediatrics, and Emergency Care. Administer medications and injections, including IV therapies, and monitor patient responses. Perform routine nursing procedures, including wound care, dressing changes, vital sign monitoring, and patient assessments. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patients' needs are met, and provide updates on patient status. Document patient information in the electronic health records (EHR) system accurately and promptly. Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and health management. Support nursing staff in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient clinical environment. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including infection control protocols and HIPAA compliance. Provide care across all shifts, including days, nights, and weekends, depending on department needs. Qualifications Current LPN license in the state of California. IV Certification required (must be able to demonstrate competence in IV therapy). Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as an LPN, preferably in hospital settings. Experience in multiple departments (Med-Surg, ICU, Emergency, etc.) preferred but not required. Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and hospital systems.
