Business Systems AnalystThe Business Systems Analyst supports Gaylor's business applications by evaluating, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting systems that enhance operational efficiency and user productivity. This role collaborates with end users, vendors, and IT teams to gather requirements, test and deploy system enhancements, ensure data integrity and system performance, and provide training and documentation to promote successful adoption of technology solutions.The analyst also monitors compliance with system standards and serves as a key resource for application support, participate in software user groups, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.Position requirements include:Uses Gaylor Values as tools to carry out all job responsibilitiesPossesses a strong understanding of construction industry goals and objectivesUnderstands and translates technical information into terminology which corresponds to the end-userWorking technical knowledge of application developmentWorking technical knowledge of cloud application delivery methods such as SaaS, PaaS and IaaSEffectively deals with all internal customers and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitudePossesses active listening and effective communication skills, with openness to diverse input and feedbackStrong written and verbal communication and customer service skillsAbility to work effectively across cross-functional areas of the businessAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasksAbility to always maintain discretion and confidentialityProficiency in Viewpoint Spectrum, Autodesk, Microsoft 365 Office SuiteResponsibilities include:Creates and maintains systems as well as end user documentationMonitors compliance with system standards and report variationsPerforms testing of system upgrades and patchesEvaluates, installs, configures, and deploys new applications, systems software, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the enterpriseCollaborates with analysts, engineers, specialists, software vendors and power users in the testing of new software programs and applications to ensure full adoption of features and process efficienciesCollaborates with application users to create functional specification documents for fulfilling gapsWorks with other teams, as required, to make recommendations on efficient use of application features and capability to enhance workflow efficienciesProvides orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systemsCoordinates product roadmaps across application platformsDevelops implementation and support plansProduces documentation for system administration, configuration, and maintenanceProvides application support by troubleshooting and resolving system issues for assigned applications, working directly with end users, as neededResolves system functionality issues, receive, and work escalation from lower support tiers and escalate internally and with vendors as necessaryMonitors system for data integrity issues while working with system engineers, data engineers or vendors to resolveMonitors and report system usage and performanceInterprets a customer's description of a problem and determine possible solutionsWorking conditions include:Must be able to work scheduled hours, as well as additional hours if needed, on short noticeMust be able to remain calm in times of heightened emotional situationsMust work well with others as a member of a team to complete tasksPhysical requirements include:Must be able to wear personnel protective equipment (i.e., hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, high visibility vest, safety harness, etc.) when requiredRepetitive use of arms, hands, and fingersPossess good vision/hearing (normal or corrected)Ability to work while sitting or standing for long periodsMust be able to lift up to 20 pounds at timesEducation:Bachelor's degree or four or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience, preferredExperience:Four or more years' experience supporting application software and/or hardware solutions, systems, or products in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) space, preferred. Proven experience with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) methodologies
