Facilities Technician (Outdoors - Yard)If you'd rather be out in the yard than stuck behind a desk, and North Dakota weather doesn't scare you, this is the job for you. As a Facilities Technician at Creedence Energy Services, you'll work outdoors year-round. You'll blend, fill and package chemicals into totes, drums and pails, run pumps, forklifts and skid steers, and make sure the right product gets hooked up and loaded on every truck that leaves our yard. The work is hands-on and physical, and no two days look the same. You'll take ownership of your yard, put safety first, solve problems as they come up, and help keep our customers' production running. Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, effectively balancing a sense of urgency with a commitment to safety.Essential DutiesWork is 90% outdoors year-roundComply with chemical handling safety requirementsFill, consolidate, and blend chemicals according to company policy, in totes, drums, and pailsSafely operate necessary equipment such as pumps, skid steer, forklift, and power toolsPackage, pick, and stage orders for all upcoming shipmentsAssist drivers with properly loading and unloading chemicalsResponsible for proper hookups from storage tanks to trucks and ensuring the correct chemical is loaded and/or transferredConduct gate check-in inspection for all units, for inventory purposesParticipate in site job risk analysis and process improvement programsResponsible for the sampling of chemicals and related paperworkExecute on established procedures for the efficient storage and organization of all shop products and inventoryResponsible for facility and yard maintenance, cleaning, and upkeepFollow proper hazardous waste disposal proceduresFollow Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures in the shop and yardIdentify and recommend solutions to safety and security issuesResponsible for end of day procedures – properly storing equipment and tools, cleaning the shop, closing and locking up the warehouse, etc.QualificationsEducation/Experience: High school diploma, GED, or at least 1 year of relevant work experience required. 1+ years of experience in production chemicals, forklift, or shop environment preferred. Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude. Demonstrated proficiency in operating equipment such as forklift and skid steer.Certifications/Licenses: Forklift certification preferred. CDL beneficial but not required.Driving Requirements: Follow all FMCSA and DOT regulations, where applicable.Physical Requirements – Lift, push, pull and carry up to 55 pounds chest high. Tip and move 55-gallon drums, weighing up to 600 pounds with the use of equipment and/or vehicles. Must be able to reach, push, pull, and grasp with arms and hands. Will require daily standing, twisting, crouching and/or kneeling, sitting, walking, driving, and transitioning in/out of vehicles. Must be able to talk, hear, and feel attributes of objects or temperatures by touching with the skin. Required to have the visual acuity to safely operate motor vehicles and equipment, close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Work Environment – Indoors and outdoors (90% of time in the yard), with exposure to environmental conditions such as extreme temperatures, precipitation, and wind. Includes potential exposure to harmful chemicals, dust, odors, fumes, oil, and gases. PPE is provided and expected to be used properly. Noise level is typically moderate to loud.Financial Skills – Understand the financial implications of business decisions and the value of preventative maintenance.Language Skills – Ability to read, interpret, and understand documents such as product labels, markings, placards, safety rules, safety data sheets (SDSs), operating instructions, and procedure manuals. English language fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending is necessary.Cognitive Skills – Ability to follow detailed instructions, blending formulas, and established procedures while accurately identifying products, labels, markings, and inventory information. Requires strong attention to detail, mathematical aptitude, situational awareness, and the ability to prioritize tasks while safely coordinating blending operations, tote consolidation, vendor offloads, material transfers, and overall yard organization.Computer Skills – Efficiently navigate a web browser, mobile applications, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams, Word, SharePoint, etc.), electronic timesheets, and programs such as OneNote.Mathematical Skills – Ability to accurately calculate and record chemical inventory is crucial. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide using weight and volume measurements.Work Ethic – Be trustworthy, dependable, respectful, and truthful with a commitment to safety and excellent customer service.
