Elementary Special Education Teacher (Transitions Classroom) Starting Date: Aug 25, 2026 Job Description Alden Elementary School is seeking a highly qualified, certified Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year for our Transitions classroom. Requirements and Responsibilities Current certification from Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education with SEI Endorsement: Teachers of Students with Moderate Disabilities (Prk-8) Bachelor's Degree or higher from accredited college or university Experience with IEP development and data collection Management skills that support students' social emotional learning Instruction and classroom management skills that support students' access to the general education curriculum content by providing specially designed instruction Collaboration with general education teachers to deliver universally designed instruction to all learners Experience meeting the needs of diverse learners in an elementary setting Experience in the adaptation and modification of curriculum and assessments Ability to plan and implement lessons that are aligned with Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks across varied subjects Citizenship, residency or work visa required Benefits All full-time employees are eligible to participate in the Town of Duxbury Benefit plans that include health insurance (25% employee contribution), dental insurance, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, vision insurance, pet insurance, accident insurance, cancer insurance, critical illness insurance, prescription drug program, 529 College Savings plan, and an employee assistance program.
