We're looking for an experienced IT Support Administrator who enjoys troubleshooting, takes ownership of problems from start to finish, and cares as much about the client experience as the technical fix.

POSITION OVERVIEW

In this hands-on role, you'll support small, mid-sized, and enterprise clients across a wide range of industries. Your work will span workstations, servers, networks, firewalls, Microsoft 365 and cloud services, security solutions, backups, virtualization, and line-of-business applications. Every client environment is different, so you'll need to get up to speed quickly on new configurations, systems, and business needs.

TYPICAL WORK WEEK

• 60% Desktop and application support
• 25% Network support
• 10% Server support
• 5% Meetings, documentation, and internal coordination

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY

• Own Tier 2 tickets escalated from our Help Desk, troubleshooting desktop, application, network, server, cloud, and security issues down to the root cause, not just the symptom
• Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, user accounts, security groups, and permissions
• Support and maintain firewalls, switches, wireless networks, servers, and workstations across client environments
• Use scripting, automation, and AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency, standardization, and service delivery.
• Monitor systems, perform preventive maintenance, and verify backups through regular testing and recovery
• Participate in client projects, including deployments, upgrades, and migrations
• Work with vendors and third-party providers to resolve line-of-business and hosted application issues
• Keep clients informed about ticket progress, scheduled changes, maintenance, and outages
• Mentor teammates and share your knowledge

• Adaptability and curiosity. You're comfortable switching between client environments and technologies, and you're always looking to learn more.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience and education

• 7+ years of professional IT experience, including supporting business environments with 100+ users/devices
• Bachelor's degree in an IT-related or technical field, or an equivalent combination of certifications and experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Technical experience

• Windows desktops, laptops, and Windows Server
• Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams
• Active Directory, Group Policy, network shares, and permissions
• Hybrid on-premises and cloud environments
• TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, wireless, and VPN/remote access
• Firewalls such as SonicWall, Meraki, Aruba, or similar
• VMware or Hyper-V
• Backup systems, antivirus, and MDR solutions
• Printers, copiers, and peripherals

Other requirements

• Valid driver's license, good driving record, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance for occasional travel to client sites
• Ability to pass criminal, employment, and motor vehicle background checks
• Availability for an on-call rotation and occasional nights and weekends

Nice to have

• MSP experience (strongly preferred)
• Microsoft Azure, Intune, or Remote Desktop Services
• PowerShell scripting
• Experience with HaloPSA, NinjaOne, Huntress, or similar PSA, RMM, MDR, and backup platforms
• Cloud-based security and firewall platforms, including Zscaler ZIA/ZPA or similar secure access and cloud firewall solutions
• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+/Security+, Microsoft (MD-102, MS-102, AZ-104), or CCNA
