Contract | Days (6a–6p) and Nights (6p–6a) available | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit with 7 L&D beds, 2 triage beds, and 10 postpartum beds, averaging 1–3 births per day
• Monitor and assess fetal status; must be proficient in fetal monitoring and prepared to take appropriate action in cases of fetal distress
• Manage and care for high-risk OB patients including those with pre-eclampsia; respond to OB emergencies until the provider arrives, as an in-house OB is not available
• Provide couplet care as needed when census requires use of LDRPs as postpartum beds
• Assist with C-section cases as required
• May float to other units (typically MedSurg or ED if experienced) based on census needs

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required
• Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required
• Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• C-section experience required
• Strong independent assessment skills and ability to manage OB emergencies

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in high-risk obstetrics and managing complex OB patients
• Comfort with couplet care and postpartum patient management
• Experience floating to MedSurg or Emergency Department settings
