Project Director - Architecture Terminal Planning Leader

Overview Flexible location: candidates can work from any HNTB office. This role leads terminal planning efforts at major airports. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of mega projects, including strategic planning for project success. Coordinate all project efforts to ensure efficient and cost‑effective execution. Serve as primary liaison contact with clients to bring projects to completion on schedule, within budget, and with maximum client satisfaction. Provide oversight and monitoring of work to less experienced project managers. Actively manage client budgets, schedules, and programs; HNTB budgets and schedules; project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks; and project team assignments. Estimate fees, determine scope of work, and prepare proposals and contracts for the most complex projects of the largest magnitude. Coordinate work efforts and review work performed. Provide quality management and ensure project standards. Mentor staff and lead the project team. Responsible for hiring, firing, promotion, discipline, performance reviews, work allocation, training, and mentoring of staff. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field. 15 years of relevant experience. Preferred: 20 years of experience. Preferred: Master’s degree. Preferred: Registered Architect (RA) designation. Benefits Approximate pay range: $180,596.86 – $360,607.36 (varies by location). Benefits information available through HNTB Total Rewards.
