This Level III trauma facility provides neurological surgery services with established protocols for managing complex neurological procedures. The institution maintains advanced surgical equipment and support systems necessary for neurosurgical interventions in an inpatient setting. The facility operates with 24-hour call coverage capabilities to support emergency neurosurgical cases requiring immediate intervention.

Michigan offers a range of regional attractions, from natural landmarks such as Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and nature and wildlife areas to cultural destinations including history museums and notable sports venues. Visitors may explore outdoor activities such as dune rides, biking on the car-free Mackinac Island, and various small-town experiences throughout the state. The region provides over 160 activities and events spanning large-scale gatherings to local festivals across diverse communities.

The neurosurgeon will provide 24-hour call coverage for neurological surgery services at this inpatient facility. Primary responsibilities include responding to emergency consultations, managing inpatient neurological cases, and performing neurosurgical procedures during call periods, with a 1:2 call ratio. The position requires on-site presence throughout all assigned call shifts.
