Job Description
TITLE
RN - Urgent Care

SCHEDULE
- Shift windows: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 9:30 PM
- Weekend coverage: Yes (includes an 8-hour shift on Sundays)

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
- Guaranteed hours: 32 hours/week (alternate weeks of 32 and 36 hours)

REQUIREMENTS
- License: NY RN license required at time of submission
- Certifications: BLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale required; ACLS preferred
- Experience: 5 years of adult and pediatric ER experience required
- Charting system: EPIC experience required
- Unit-specific skills: Telemetry experience noted

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients across all age groups, including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in an urgent care setting.
- Monitor and manage patients in a telemetry unit, requiring proficiency in reading rhythms and EKGs.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to facilitate patient care and improve outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- Vaccines: Flu vaccine required by November 1; exemptions must be submitted approximately two weeks prior to start
- Pre-approved time off: One time off allowed per contract
- Mandatory modules: Completion of required modules must occur by the Wednesday prior to the start date
