Summary:

The Manufacturing/Warehouse Lead is an important role at VSG.  This position requires significant attention to detail and the ability to follow all written and oral instructions without immediate supervision.  The Lead will assist with building products in accordance with Sherrill Inc and manufactures specifications.

Duties & Responsibilities:

·         Pack orders both manually and bulk orders

·         Pick orders both manually and bulk orders

·         Receiving Product in against Purchase Orders (inbound)

·         Pulling inventory from the warehouse (pole blanks, rake parts, etc.)

·         Bin Replenishment.

·         Use hand tools and machinery to manipulate products to create finished goods.

·         Ensure customer request and expectations are met.

·         Quality checks all products to ensure compliance with VSG standards.

·         Produce quality products in a timely and efficient manner.

·         Ensure products are to the quality standards set forth by VSG.

·         Ensure that work area(s) is kept clean and free of safety hazards.

·         Follow all inventory control processes.

·         Cutting poles and rake heads if necessary.

·         Help putting sets together.

• Lead and supervise daily activities of manufacturing and warehouse employees
• Assign tasks and monitor workflow to meet production and shipping schedules
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies
• Train, coach, and support team members on processes, equipment, and performance expectations
• Monitor inventory accuracy, material movement, and product handling
• Conduct shift start-up meetings and communicate operational priorities
• Track productivity, attendance, and performance metrics
• Assist with troubleshooting operational issues and resolving employee concerns
• Coordinate with supervisors, maintenance, quality, and shipping/receiving departments
• Perform equipment inspections and ensure proper use of forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and other warehouse tools
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain organized, clean, and safe work areas
• Complete required reports, documentation, and system updates accurately

Qualifications:

·         High School Diploma

·         2+ years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution operations preferred

·         High attention to detail

·         Ability to work independently

·         Forklift Certification

·         Previous leadership or team lead experience strongly preferred

Physical Demands:

 Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly

 Ability to work overtime, weekends, or flexible shifts as needed

 Comfortable working in manufacturing or warehouse environments with varying temperatures and noise levels
