Overview: St. Mary's Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Pediatrician to join our compassionate and collaborative Pediatrics team in Amsterdam, NY. In this full-time role, you'll provide comprehensive primary care to infants, children, and adolescents while working alongside a supportive team of pediatricians, family medicine providers, and clinical staff. Position Highlights: Full-time, hospital-employed role within a well-established pediatric practice. Collaborative, team-based environment with experienced pediatricians, family medicine providers, and support staff. Balanced outpatient and inpatient mix with access to a Level I Nursery and neonatal support. Strong referral network from primary care and specialty providers. Responsibilities: Conduct thorough examinations on newborns and children, monitoring their health and physical development. Reach informed diagnoses based on scientific knowledge and individual medical histories. Prescribe medications with detailed instructions for administration and monitor their effectiveness. Prepare and administer vaccines according to governmental vaccination plans. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop individualized treatment plans. Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care strategies. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay updated with the latest advancements in pediatric care. Qualifications: Required Credentials - Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Physician licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of New York Preferred Experience - Previous experience in a pediatric setting is preferred but not required. Education - Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution Skills - Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Compensation & Benefits: Base Salary Range - $183,844 - $281,750 (commensurate with experience).
