You arrive, load the job packet, and step up to a FANUC ROBODRILL. The blueprint and work instructions guide your plan. Vises and fixtures are indicated in, tools are touched off, and work/tool offsets are dialed. You cut the first article, verify it against tight tolerances, make crisp offset tweaks, and keep production humming. Throughout the run, you watch tool wear, swap inserts, and validate quality with micrometers, calipers, indicators, and height gauges—always with safety first.

• Set up and run FANUC ROBODRILL CNC machining centers with minimal supervision.
• Interpret blueprints and work instructions; apply GD&T to achieve spec.
• Install tooling; establish and verify work and tool offsets.
• Indicate vises/fixtures and lock in workholding for repeatable accuracy.
• Produce and inspect first articles; adjust offsets as needed.
• Monitor tool life and replace tooling proactively.
• Measure in‑process parts with precision instruments.
• Meet quality and throughput targets while following all safety procedures.

• 3+ years setting up CNC mills.
• Hands‑on experience with FANUC ROBODRILL or comparable Fanuc‑controlled VMCs.
• Ability to read prints and apply GD&T.
• Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, indicators, and height gauges.
• Strong troubleshooting instincts and methodical problem solving.
• Proven track record holding tight tolerances in production.

1. Setup Planning: Before a ROBODRILL setup, which details do you confirm from the blueprint, setup sheet, program, tooling list, material, and workholding?
2. Offsets & Indicating: How do you establish and verify work offsets and tool offsets, and ensure a vise/fixture is properly indicated before the initial run?
3. First Article & Root Cause: If the first article fails inspection, how do you isolate whether the cause is setup, tooling, program, workholding, machine, or measurement?
4. Tooling & Cut Quality: What symptoms tell you a tool is dull, chipped, deflecting, rubbing, or mismatched to the material—and how do you correct each?
5. ROBODRILL Background: Summarize your experience with FANUC ROBODRILL or similar Fanuc‑controlled CNC mills, including:
   • Years of setup experience
   • Materials you’ve machined
   • Typical tolerances you hold
   • Experience with tool/work offsets and first‑article verification
