Healing Mind and Soul Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team on a part-time basis. This role supports a flexible work environment, allowing therapists to conduct therapeutic sessions remotely, as well as in our outpatient office situated in Elgin, Illinois. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Providing individualized therapy sessions in clients’ homes or within our outpatient facility, tailored to their unique needs.
\n
• Facilitating group therapy sessions that promote social skills, coping strategies, and effective anger management.
\n
• Implementing behavioral interventions aimed at reducing high-risk behaviors such as self-injury or aggression.
\n
• Collaborating with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals to create a cohesive and comprehensive support system for each youth.
\n
• Documenting therapy sessions, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring all records are submitted punctually.
\n
• Participating in monthly meetings to discuss client progress and contribute recommendations for care modifications.
\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with children and adolescents aged 3 to 20 years who are experiencing developmental disabilities and associated intellectual challenges. Your insight and expertise will be crucial in helping these young clients navigate their unique experiences and foster an environment conducive to growth and healing.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess the following credentials:

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or related fields.
\n
• An active and unrestricted LMFT license.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (specifically between 4 PM and 7 PM), with weekends available as a plus.

• Experience in providing positive behavior support to clients.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle are essential.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, which includes fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, the following experiences are preferred:

• Previous work with children aged 3-20, particularly those with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

• A strong understanding of therapeutic interventions and behavioral techniques tailored for youth.

Compensation and Benefits\n
