Hiring for a Medical Assistant in Madison!We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to support healthcare providers in delivering high-quality patient care. The Medical Assistant will perform both clinical and administrative duties, including patient intake, vital signs collection, scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, assisting with examinations, and ensuring an efficient patient experience.Key ResponsibilitiesRoom patients and obtain medical histories, vital signs, height, weight, and other relevant information.Prepare patients for examinations and medical procedures.Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals during examinations and treatments.Administer injections, medications, immunizations, and perform basic laboratory procedures as permitted by state regulations.Collect and process laboratory specimens.Perform EKGs, wound care, dressing changes, and other clinical tasks within scope of practice.Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and follow-up care instructions.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, NCMA, or equivalent).Previous experience in a medical office, clinic, or healthcare setting preferred.Knowledge of medical terminology, infection control practices, and patient confidentiality regulations (HIPAA).Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office applications.Current CPR certification preferred.Skills & CompetenciesExcellent interpersonal and patient service skills.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Attention to detail and accuracy.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality patient care.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
