SR. 1 MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN

Sr 1. Mechanical TechnicianThis position is responsible for lubrication, preventative maintenance, and repair of all equipment. Performs other duties as required.Qualifications:Technical school or Associates degree in Industrial Maintenance or 6 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance requiredHave a strong background in troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as machining experience is requiredBasic computer knowledgeSafety glasses, ear plugs, and steel toe shoes is required on some or all jobsMust have good communication skillMust be able to multi-taskMust be able and willing to work overtime on an as needed basis. Must be willing to be on-call and work some nights and weekends that are requiredElectrical background is a plus, but not requiredThe ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings is a plusEnsure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessaryCapable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactionsJob Responsibilities:Troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of mechanical equipmentLubrication and preventative maintenance (PM) of mechanical equipmentAssists Electronic technician in electrical and electronic dutiesAble to perform welding, machining, and millwright dutiesIdentify parts and assist Parts Coordinator in the requisition and inventory of tools, spare parts, and equipmentAssembles, and installs new mechanical equipment, enters work orders in the Maintenance Management System; able to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawingsMaintain all equipment in good running order, perform route checks and report deficiencies.Ensure that job site is clean and free of hazards, follow GMP practices.Maintains good housekeeping and safety practices when running equipmentInteracts and communicates with Production supervisor during shift and assist on production line when neededMaintains professional certifications and keeps updated on all procedures and policy changes; keeps training up to dateOperates all maintenance equipment safely, follow LOTO practices.Other responsibilities as assignedWork Environment Conditions Subjected To In This Position:Manufacturing EnvironmentAbility to work in varying temperatures (cold and hot)Loud noiseInteplast Group is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
