Job TitleThe Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment is looking for a dedicated professional to join their team.Job DescriptionWithin DCPHR's Health Equity Branch, the Mobile Public Health Clinic Program (MPHCP) is responsible for bridging gaps in access to disease control and public health services statewide. This position coordinates and leads patient care services at clinics, guiding nurses and clinical staff, providing ongoing training, and ensuring the team maintains best practices. Traveling to different regions of the State of Colorado, serving underserved populations, bringing public health resources and disease mitigation through vaccinations, testing, and other disease control services.Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal RightsThis posting is only open to residents of the State of Colorado at the time of submitting your application. Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree from an accredited institution in a epidemiology or nursing, public health, nurse administrator, nurse researcher and Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse from the Colorado Board of Nursing or any state participating in the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) and Two (2) years of professional experience in communicable disease, public health, infection prevention control or in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position. Additional appropriate experience in communicable disease, public health, infection prevention control will substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.Preferred Qualifications: Relevant State of Colorado experience, experience coaching/mentoring other nurses, working with disproportionally under served communities, experience observing, recording, reporting, and documenting changes in a patient's condition.Conditions of Employment: Must match approved PD. Required vaccination of Hepatitis B, Influenza, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and varicella. Effective September 20, 2021, this position will require documented proof of full COVID-19 vaccination.
