Parts Specialist - Union GBA

Compensation Pay Range: $18.85 – $24.50 per hour. Actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage for the job location. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance premiums, and premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met. Responsibilities Follow and promote company customer service programs (Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot). Greet retail and walk‑in customers in a friendly manner and assist in merchandise selection. Support managers and installer service specialists with professional customers as directed. Complete assigned company training relevant to the position. Provide excellent service to customers calling the store, answering calls per policy, looking up parts, quoting prices, recommending premium and related items, and offering the Low‑Price Guarantee. Maintain and secure the cash drawer, accept cash and checks, make change accurately, and process credit card transactions. Process exchanges and returns for credit following company policies. Resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner. Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, freight receipt, stocking shelves, fronting/facing, cleaning, and other operational tasks. Prepare new, core, and warranty merchandise returns for shipment to the distribution center, assist with monthly stock adjustments and inventory cycle counts. Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment following training and company requirements. Perform in‑store services for customers where state and local laws allow (install wipers, test and charge batteries, test charging system, scan vehicle trouble codes, replace headlight capsules). Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle for deliveries when business needs dictate (must meet company driving eligibility requirements). Perform any other duties as assigned. Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience, Abilities Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences. Ability to provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service. Multitasking ability—handling customers on the phone and in the store simultaneously. Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, Weatherly Index system, and automotive sales or service (desired). ASE certification (desired). Fluency in multiple languages, particularly Spanish (highly desired).
