This role sits at the intersection of Finance and Operations and plays a critical part in helping leaders understand performance, identify trends, and drive informed operational and financial decisions.This position offers meaningful exposure to senior leadership and has a direct impact on company decision-making. You will help shape how the organization understands cost, performance, and opportunity across manufacturing, and play an important role in leading the business forward as we continue our digital transformation journey. The successful candidate will not only provide accurate financial insight, but will also influence how data is used to modernize processes, improve visibility, and enable smarter, faster decisions across the enterprise.Partnering closely with Manufacturing FP&A, Operations, Supply Chain, and Methods teams, you will translate cost, inventory, and performance data into clear, actionable insight. This is a highly visible role that goes beyond traditional accounting—requiring strong communication, intellectual curiosity, and the confidence to respectfully challenge assumptions in service of better outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Partnership & Decision SupportServe as a trusted finance partner to Operations and Manufacturing leadersTranslate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholdersProactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities throughout the monthAsk thoughtful questions and respectfully challenge assumptions to deepen understanding and improve decision-makingPartner with Finance and Operations leadership to support enterprise-level decision-making and advance digital and analytical maturity across manufacturingManufacturing Cost & Performance AnalyticsAnalyze cost of goods sold (COGS), labor, materials, overhead, and inventory movementsDeliver timely reporting and insights to Manufacturing FP&A and operational teamsIdentify cost drivers and performance trends impacting margin and efficiencyManufacturing Close & ReportingReconcile inventory transactions and valuationsEnsure accurate valuation of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goodsManage allocations and intercompany eliminations (Revenue, COGS, Inventory)Review and resolve purchase order and purchase price variancesProvide clarity and context on monthly resultsPlanning, Budgeting & Standard Cost ManagementPrepare SAP for each planning cycles (accounts, cost centers, elements)Maintain and enhance allocation modelsDevelop, maintain, and refine standard costs for labor, overhead, and materialsPartner with Operations to explain cost drivers, tradeoffs, and implicationsIdentify opportunities for cost control and savingsControls, Compliance & Continuous ImprovementMaintain inventory classifications and system integrityAudit SAP controls to ensure data accuracy and complianceOwn standard cost rolls and related system maintenance, including order settlementsSupport internal and external audits; ensure adherence to GAAP and internal controlsDrive process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce wasteSupport system enhancements and adoption of best practicesQualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business5+ years of accounting experience3+ years of cost or manufacturing accounting experiencePreferredSAP experience strongly preferredExperience in a standard cost environmentAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelBusiness Partner ProfileStrong written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to collaborate across functionsIntellectual curiosity and a desire to understand how the business operatesConfidence to ask questions and respectfully challenge assumptionsAbility to influence without authority through insight and credibilityThis role is well-suited for a finance professional who values partnership, enjoys working close to operations, and is motivated by using data to improve how work gets done.
