Section Chief for Defense Travel System Operations within the Accounting Operations Branch
Duties
Ensure compliance with the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), DoD Financial Management Regulation (FMR), and DHA travel policy while supporting operational requirements such as medical staffing, contingency travel, and workforce mobility.
Provide authoritative guidance and oversight of enterprise travel and financial operations.
Develop and implement DHA procedures to analyze, monitor, and mitigate critical transactions, validate restricted-role authorizations, and ensure sound business and resource management practices.
Present recommendations, operational analyses, and policy proposals to senior leadership.
Coordinate enterprise travel operations, system integration, and modernization efforts.
Provide direct supervision to civilian personnel.
