Senior Mainframe Developer
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team for a 6-month duration, with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mainframe development and experience in managing offshore teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8 years of experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, ChangeMan, File Aid/File Manager, DFSORT, Syncsort, and Easytrieve
- Experience in developing high-performing, scalable, and innovative end-to-end applications
- Experience in migration from legacy to distributed systems
- Strong understanding of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, and Testing Techniques
- Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with API through middleware
- Strong technical and analytical capabilities
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of business requirements
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the selected technology for the project
- Understand performance parameters and assess application performance
- Collaborate with other technical partners and Product Owners
