About This Role

We are seeking nurturing and dedicated One Year Old Teachers to join our early childhood education teams at our Amherst and Milford locations. In this role, you will create a safe, stimulating, and loving environment that supports the rapid social, emotional, and physical development of toddlers. You will guide children through foundational milestones, manage daily care routines, and maintain open communication with families to ensure a cohesive learning experience.

• Lead age-appropriate and developmentally appropriate activities.
• Manage daily care routines including diapering and feeding.
• Ensure a safe, clean environment.
• Track child development milestones.
• Communicate daily with parents.
• Work cooperatively with a teaching team and administration.

• Minimum of 18 credits in ECE required, CDA, AS or BS in Early Education preferred.
• Experience with young children.
• Able to pass background checks, state and FBI, successfully.
• CPR and First Aid certified.
• Stand for long periods and willingness to be outside.
• Willingness to maintain 18 hours of professional development annually

• Knowledge of state licensing.

Nellie's Treehouse is a family-owned and operated child care/early learning center located on Route 101A in Amherst, NH. The program opened in 2000, serves children from 6 weeks to 5 years and has a licensed capacity of 69 students. Nellie's provides 5,000 square feet of indoor classroom spaces and sits on an acre of land.

The goal of the school is to ensure the safety and well being of the children at all times and to encourage successful social, emotional, intellectual and physical growth and development throughout the early years. We acknowledge the importance of authentic partnerships with families as they are their child's first teachers. We recognize each child as an individual and utilize developmentally appropriate, play based curriculum to promote independence and foster creativity.

The center is open from 6:00am to 7:00pm and has an open door policy. Infants and Ones are provided diapers, wipes, spring water and whole milk. Twos, Preschool, Pre-k and K are provided breakfast, lunches and 3 snacks.
