Beverage Manager

Summary To manage all aspects of Redner’s Markets Beer and Wine operations within the supermarket. The Beer and Wine Manager will oversee all ordering, storage, invoicing, and conditions of the Beer and Wine department to ensure maximum profitability. Duties include forecasting, planning, and managing all beverage orders, staff, and financial results. The goal is to maximize sales and revenue through customer satisfaction and employee engagement. Job Details POSITION TITLE: Beer and Wine Manager DEPARTMENT: Beer and Wine REPORTS TO: Store Director FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt Essential Job Functions Manage all beer and wine sales and day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards. Maintain an acceptable level of inventory to maximize sales and control out-of-date product through proper ordering and the LOOP system. Control inventory levels using the automated ordering system (DAX) and routine smart counts to ensure accuracy. Collaborate with beverage vendors on product displays and seasonal products within the department. Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service at all times. Identify customers’ needs and respond proactively to their concerns. Properly handle invoices and maintain pricing integrity within the Beer and Wine category. Ensure proper levels of food available in the café at all times and communicate needs with the Deli Department during business hours. Provide new employee training via RAMP certifications and ongoing training to remain compliant with PLCB. Train all employees on products and procedures within the Beer and Wine department to ensure product knowledge. Establish employee schedules to ensure proper coverage and excellent service levels to customers. Maintain a good relationship with all beverage and wine vendors through regular communication. Communicate department concerns and objectives with store management and supervisors. Comply with all health, safety, and PLCB regulations. Enforce, oversee, and train employees on policies pertaining to alcohol sales and identification of purchasers. Greet all customers to the store and be observant of their needs while working. Abide by all Redner’s Markets policies and procedures set forth by the employee handbook. Supplemental Job Functions Coordinate pickup of wine orders, including picking them up during your work shift. Physically handle merchandise within the department while filling shelves and coolers with required products. Run the cash register for a large portion of the shift and work within the cashier accountability policy. Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have basic computer knowledge to navigate online ordering of products. Must possess strong analytical and organizational skills to analyze product movement programs and maintain necessary reports and schedules. Strong communication skills for dealing with customers, employees, and vendors. Must be able to stand on your feet for the entire work shift. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds for 30% of the time working. Must be able to stand upright for the majority of the scheduled work shift. #J-18808-Ljbffr
