About the Position

Job Title: Surgical Technologist Profession: Surgical Tech Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10H Day Hours per Shift: 10: 06:30-17:00 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: National Certification Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Must apply for the local Medical Technician credentials 48 hours after acceptance. Description: An OR Certified Surgical Technologist is needed for an immediate start. The unit features five up-to-date Operating Room suites, with additional facilities in the labor and delivery department. The patient population is diverse, consisting of both inpatients and outpatients undergoing surgical, diagnostic, invasive, and other special procedures. Patients of all ages, from infants to geriatrics, are served within this unit. The Operating Room team consists of registered nurses, registered nurse first assists, surgical technologists, and other assistive personnel providing care within surgical services. The RN Patient Ratios are 1:1. Surgical services primarily focus on orthopedic and trauma cases, but also include ENT and cataract removal surgeries as well as C-sections. Experience with ENT, cataract surgeries, and C-sections is not required, but candidates must be willing to be trained for these procedures.
