Job Summary: Provide essential support in healthcare delivery and patient management within a clinical setting. Responsibilities vary daily based on the practice's needs. Essential Responsibilities: Deliver direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk clients. Follow established standards and guidelines for patient care. Manage telephone triage with reassurance, accurate guidance, and patient education. Ensure smooth healthcare service delivery during patient visits. Maintain accurate, complete medical records. Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints. Monitor and communicate abnormal patient signs to physicians and document accordingly. Confirm patient understanding of physician instructions upon discharge. Enter medical record data and billing information into electronic systems. Support testing and treatment procedures under physician supervision, including applying splints and dressings. Manage medication samples and logs. Coordinate patient testing, admissions, and referrals. Retrieve and communicate test results. Assist with minor surgeries and physical exams, ensuring proper consents for invasive procedures and immunizations. Provide patient education materials and verify comprehension of treatments and medications. Perform prescribed lab tests and maintain laboratory logs. Maintain clinical areas by stocking and organizing supplies, ensuring exam rooms are clean, orderly, and compliant with sterilization protocols. Verify equipment functionality and instrument sterility. Perform additional duties as assigned, adapting to evolving responsibilities. Education and Experience Required: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program.
