Inventory Supervisor Location: USA - Chattanooga, 4513 N Access Rd Division: Solutions Job Posting Title: Inventory Supervisor - 118798 Time Type: Full Time The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising, labor management, and planning of inbound, outbound, product slotting and customer communication activities daily, including labor scheduling, space utilization, equipment and manpower. People management responsibilities include hiring and training, planning and assigning daily work, conducting performance appraisals, addressing performance issues and resolving problems. Under the direction of the Operations Manager or Distribution Center Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for supervising the receiving, warehousing and shipping of products in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives. As part of the DSV team, Associates are expected to meet company objectives in the areas of performance, safety, and quality and comply with all corporate and site‑specific policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct staff meetings to review daily/weekly work activities, plan and assure continuous improvement. Keep senior management and client representatives informed of critical issues that affect operations. Develop and implement systems and procedures for managing operations, equipment, and products safely and profitably in accordance with company policies. Manage operations to meet prescribed productivity and service goals, complying with client operating agreements. Implement and report on ongoing cost‑saving measures and provide suggestions for more efficient operations. Meet all client‑specified KPIs and comply with quality system requirements. Apply sound communication and motivational techniques, create fair and equitable supervision programs, counsel and discipline team members as needed, and provide direction and support to Human Resources. Assist in hiring, training, and professional development, and participate in performance evaluation for recommending promotions and wage increases. Oversee overall training and evaluation of warehouse staff. Plan daily work schedule by reviewing work orders, arrival notices, and customer instructions, assessing priorities, and assigning duties. Review pending jobs, re‑organize warehouse space, and adjust staffing and supply levels. Train new staff in assigned duties, delegate training responsibility when appropriate, and monitor progress. Monitor job quantity and quality, providing guidance as necessary. Assign supervisory duties to experienced team members and keep management informed of progress and issues. Hold regular meetings to assess overall status and discuss improvement ideas. Assist in physical operations as needed. Deliver results by leveraging the right people at the right time. Maintain high motivation among team members to provide customer satisfaction. Provide growth and development opportunities. Conduct annual performance reviews. Support adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and train team members on corporate and client SOPs. Provide input to improve operational processes. Compensation For this position, the expected base pay is: $67,500 per year. Actual base compensation will be determined based on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, geographic location and other objective business considerations. This position is eligible for a performance‑based bonus program. For this position, the expected base pay range is $65,000.00 – $65,000.00 annual. Actual compensation will be determined based on job‑related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
