Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the accounting function, including general ledger, account reconciliations, financial statements and related reports. Essential Functions Assists with the monthly closing process, to include preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements and variance analyses. Assists with preparation of quarterly board reports and any other financial analyses as requested by management. Assists with the preparation of the 10‑K and 10‑Q SEC filings, to include PBC lists and calendars, and provides information to the external auditors during the review/audit process. Assists with the preparation or review of reports for corporate investments. Assists with the preparation or review of quarterly tax‑related workpapers; provides financial information so that third parties can prepare and file annual tax returns. Assists with the annual Sarbanes‑Oxley project, coordinating with the consultant and external auditors. Assists with researching and implementing FASB accounting pronouncements or other projects as assigned by management. EDUCATION Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration is required. Master’s degree in Accounting is preferred. CPA required; all team members must remain current with licensure/certification while employed with the Company. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Three (3) to five (5) years of prior experience with financial reporting and financial data analysis is required. Experience with GAAP financial statements is required. Experience in a mutual fund related environment and knowledge of corporate investments is preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
