All tasks are completed under direct supervision of Distribution Supervisor, or designated Charge Technician (if applicable)/ph3Major Job Functions/h3pThe following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job. The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below. In addition, specific functions may change from time to time:/pulliProvide supplies to walk-in customers and utilize proper documentation to ensure that the supplies that were dispensed are issued to respective accounts/liliProcesses pick tickets and stage appropriate orders for deliveries to external customers/liliDeliver special order supplies and equipment to various requestors and obtain signatures to verify deliveries/liliBreak down pallets and put away supplies received into inventory/liliVerify correct items, manufacturer codes, expiration dates and quantities received/liliSafely operate the manual or electric pallet jacks to deliver supplies and equipment to requestors/liliPerform the duties associated with the facilitys mailroom/liliInitiate all communication both oral and written to purchasing, vendor, or requestors regarding any issues in relation to inbound supplies/liliResponsible for picking up, returning and sanitizing work area before and after assigned shift/liliPerform scheduled rounds and deliver requested supplies and equipment from Central Supply/liliPerform all Stat runs as necessary/liliAssemble specialty kits that are to be restocked on the units/liliOther duties as assigned/li/ulh3Minimum Qualifications/h3pThe following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job:/ph3Education and Formal Training:/h3ulliHigh school diploma or equivalent required/liliValid North Carolina drivers license which will be verified by Risk Management for inclusion in CFV vehicle insurance/li/ulh3Work Experience:/h3ulli1 year previous hospital experience preferred/lili3 months experience consistently performing tasks for Tech I must be met, prior to competency sign off and consideration for training and advancement to Tech II/li/ulh3Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:/h3ulliReads, writes, and speaks fluent English/liliAbility to interact with other employees in CS as well as other departments in the facility/liliExcellent customer service skills, to include effective oral communication, and critical thinking skills/liliAbility to be flexible to daily changes in operational and patient care issues/liliAbility to multi-task if necessary/liliDiscretion in the proper handling of confidential information is mandatory/liliAbility to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate these when necessary/li/ulh3Physical Requirements:/h3ulliAbility to see and hear/liliCapable of withstanding fatigue associated with continuous walking and standing/liliCapable of delivering supplies and lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds and pushing carts with rolling weight of up to 100 pounds/li/ulpRequired Licenses and Certifications/ppCape Fear Valley Health System is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/Disability/Veteran/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity/p/div
