About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - Pediatrics Profession: Respiratory Specialty: RRT Pediatrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years of pediatric, neonate, and infant experience required. License: RRT SC license must be in hand at time of start. Certifications: RRT certification, BLS, PALS, NRP required. Must-Have: - Pediatric, Neonate, and Infant experience. - Epic experience preferred. - Open to accommodating block schedule (approval prior to assignment but not guaranteed). Description: This position involves working in a pediatric and neonatal intensive care environment. The role will require working three 12-hour day shifts per week and participating in a holiday rotation. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. On-call duties are not required. Floating to meet facility needs may be permitted depending on experience. The facility is a teaching hospital with a Level 1 trauma designation. This role will involve care for neonates, infants, adolescents, and pediatrics. Travelers should be aware that all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season. Hurricane season runs from June through November, with peak activity in August and September.
